Students awarded over $124,000 in tuition assistance
Marshfield Area Community Foundation announces scholarship recipients

MARSHFIELD — The Marshfield Area Community Foundation recently announced its scholarship recipients. The foundation has 54 scholarships, and funds were awarded to 92 students. The scholarships total over $124,000 in tuition assistance for the 2016-2017 school year.
There are winners from high schools from throughout the foundation’s service area, including Marshfield, Columbus Catholic, Auburndale, Colby, Greenwood, Loyal, Medford, Neillsville, Owen, Park Falls, Pittsville, Prentice, Spencer, Stevens Point, Stratford, Wisconsin Rapids, and even Fort Atkinson High School in Iowa.
Awards nights were held during the month of May as opportunities to bring together the students who have earned these scholarships and their families who support them, chances for the people who established these scholarships to meet the students who their scholarship will benefit.
Scholarship fund holders have made a commitment to the future. They saw the value in investing in the future through educating youths.
